In commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, Africa Missions Global (AMG) Nigeria Chapter 1 brought inspiration, education, and empowerment to over 512 girls at Redeemer’s High School, Redemption City.
Empowering the Next Generation of Female Leaders
The event, themed “Not Too Young to Lead,” was designed to help young girls understand their leadership potential and the power of positive influence. The AMG team was warmly received by Mrs. Adebayo, the school counsellor, who expressed deep appreciation for AMG’s consistent commitment to empowering young people.
Delivering the first session, Mrs. Juliet Emeruwa, Administrator of Africa Missions Global Nigeria, spoke passionately about leadership as taking initiative, making wise choices, and leading oneself first. Her message ignited a sense of confidence and purpose among the students.
Healthy Living for a Brighter Future
The second session, led by Dr. (Mrs.) Tomi Adebelọ, a respected Food Scientist and Nutritionist, focused on the importance of healthy eating and healthy living. She encouraged the students to make conscious food choices, emphasizing that what they consume today shapes their future energy, health, and success.
Voices of Inspiration
The event was filled with moments of reflection and inspiration. Anjolaoluwa Ojewa (15) shared, “I learned that my background does not put my back on the ground.”
Another student, Anjola Babayeju (16), expressed, “I’ve learned that I am not too young to drive positive change.”
Their voices echoed the day’s message — that every girl, regardless of her background, can rise to lead, inspire, and transform her community.
Sustaining the Impact
Closing the event, Mrs. Adebayo thanked AMG for organizing such an empowering initiative, describing it as “enlightening and transformative.”
Looking ahead, AMG Nigeria Chapter 1 plans to continue working with Redeemer’s High School through mentorship and empowerment sessions focused on leadership, digital literacy, and healthy living.
A Brighter Future for the African Girl
The event reaffirmed AMG’s commitment to its core vision to Reach, Restore, and Empower, especially among young girls. It served as a reminder that every girl has the power to lead, create impact, and shape the future — proving that indeed, they are not too young to lead!
